Pleasant Hill Programs August 9-11

Friday, August 9                      

4-5pm               Nature Center Open – Learn about native wildlife in the Nature Room at the Welcome Center.

6-8pm               Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with schedules.

 

Saturday, August 10

9-11am             Nature Center Open – Learn about native wildlife in the Nature Room at the Welcome Center.

11:30am-12:30pm Outback Ray LIVE Animal Show – Discover amazing creatures at the Welcome Center. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

1-2pm                Constellation View Craft for Families – Each adult and child will work together to create a constellation viewer. The crafting area is in the Welcome Center Deck while supplies last.

2-3pm                   Golf Cart Poker Run – Meet at the Welcome Center to compete for prizes! Read the map and collect poker chips. $5 per hand; cash only. Prizes for best and worst poker hands.

4-5pm               Discovery Hike – Follow a naturalist along the Sycamore Trail to see what plants and animals can be found. Meet at Shelter #2 and dress for the weather.

5-8pm               FOOD TRUCK Ohio Shiver Shack – Visit the Welcome Center Parking Lot for a snow cone.

6-7pm               Keychain Craft for Adults – Must be 16+ to attend this activity in the Welcome Center. We will be using our creativity to turn beads, tassels, and cording into a personalized keychain. Limited to 10 guests, registration required at www.mwcd.org/tickets

 

Sunday, August 11                  

9-11pm             Meteor Shower Kayak Tour – Take in the beautiful views of the Perseid Meteor Shower while kayaking on the lake. BYO boat or rent one! Registration required at www.mwcd.org/tickets
