Pleasant Hill Programs August 23-25

Friday, August 23
4-5pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about the Fish of Pleasant Hill.
5:30-7:30pm Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules and trail maps.
Saturday, August 24
10-11am Meet the Chief – Pete Novotny the Chief of Recreation will be in the Welcome Center to discuss future projects at the park.
12-1pm Watershed Discovery – Play with water and water runoff while learning about watersheds. Head to the Welcome Center Deck to interact with a model of a watershed.
1-2pm Painted Flowerpot Craft for Adults – Are you still looking for the perfect souvenir from your time at Pleasant Hill this summer? How about painting a flowerpot with your favorite summer memories? Supplies will be provided in the Welcome Center. This activity is for 16+.
2-3pm Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn about the Fish of Pleasant Hill.
4-5pm Foil Fish Craft for Kids – We will be cutting and shaping cardstock and foil into our favorite fish at Pleasant Hill Lake. Supplies and instruction will be provided in the Welcome Center.
6-7pm Nature Scavenger Hunt – Meet at the Welcome Center at 1 pm to follow a program staff member on an adventure. We will check off items from our list as we find them in nature.
7-8pm Fishing Game – Would you like more practice casting and reeling in fish? If yes, gather on the Welcome Center Deck for a fun fishing experience without touching a real fish.
9-10pm Campfire and Songs – Head to the fire ring by the Welcome Center for an end-of-the-summer campfire and songs.
