Pleasant Hill Programs August 16-22

Friday, August 16
4-5pm Nature Center Open – Learn about native wildlife in the Nature Room at the Welcome Center.
6-8pm Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with schedules.
Saturday, August 17
9am-1pm Gold Panning – Hang out with Gold Prospector and Educator on the Welcome Center Porch. Learn how to pan for gold and the history of gold panning in the Clear Fork Valley.
10-11am Windchime Craft for All Ages – Make your own windchime on the Welcome Center deck.
1-4pm Pony Rides and Petting Farm – Get up close to live farm animals near the Welcome Center parking lot! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Waivers required.
4-5pm Country Line Dancing – Enjoy the music and kick up your heels. Come for 10 minutes or 2 hours. Meet in the Welcome Center for country line dancing!
5-6pm Chips and Salsa Bar – Stop by the Welcome Center deck for a variety of salsas. See if you can stand the spiciest! While supplies last.
7-8pm Hayride – Free hayride around Pleasant Hill Lake Park to take in the end-of-summer views. Two-time slots are available. The wagon will leave from the Welcome Center parking lot at 7 and 7:30 pm. Register online to reserve your seat at www.mwcd.org/tickets.
9-11pm Movie at the Lake – Bring your blanket or camp chairs to the beach to watch a movie on the BIG screen! The movie is rated PG-13 and will begin at dusk.
Sunday, August 18
9-11pm Moonlight Kayak Tour – Enjoy a guided kayak tour of the lake under the light of the full moon! BYO boat or rent one of our kayaks! Registration required at www.mwcd.org/tickets
Thursday, August 22
6-7:30pm Ladies’ Night Craft & Dessert – This is a great program for friends, daughters, moms, grandmothers and more. This month we will be making wall sconce flower holders while also enjoying tasty beverages and desserts. For ages 16+. Register at www.mwcd.org/tickets.
