Pleasant Hill National Trails Day

5-8pm Traveling Naturalist – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with fun nature tracking items.
Saturday, June 1 National Trails Day Celebration!
All Day Capture the Canvas – Explore the trails, find a canvas, and enter to win a prize! Three winners will be randomly selected by September 12, plus the first 200 entries will receive a custom MWCD walking stick medallion and all participants with three entries from different parks will receive a walking stick! 10am-2pm Pleasant Hill Dam Tours – Join the US Army Corps of Engineers for a tour of Pleasant Hill Dam! Learn about the history, plus dam safety as a part of Dam Safety Awareness Day. Tours take approximately 20 minutes, stop by anytime between 10am and 2pm.
2-3pm Naturalist On-Duty – Stop by for a close look at bugs. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Welcome Center.
4-5pm Discovery Hike – Take a guided nature hike along the Sycamore Trail. Meet at Shelter #2 with sneakers or hiking shoes. Parents must accompany their children.
5-7pm Lake Study – Meet at the Welcome Center deck to go on a journey to find macroinvertebrates and other critters in the lake. Wear water shoes or boots to be in shallow water. Parents must accompany their children.
