MWCD Invites You to Capture the Canvas for a Chance to Win Prizes!
Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, May 24 through Labor Day, September 2, 2024 you’re encouraged to “Capture the Canvas” for a chance to win prizes!
MWCD partnered with five local schools to encourage residents to get outdoors and explore the trails at MWCD parks. MWCD provided the materials, and students painted canvases that will be on display on trails throughout the district. Participating schools and the locations of their artwork are:
- New Philadelphia High School: Atwood Lake Park
- Dover High School: Atwood Lake Park, and Charles Mill Lake Park
- Lucas High School: Pleasant Hill Lake Park
- Caldwell High School: Seneca Lake Park
- Claymont High School: Tappan Lake Park
Capture the Canvas Trail Maps:
Atwood Trail Map Find the canvas on the Cemetery Bay Trail, or the Woodland Trail
Charles Mill Trail Map: Oak Trail
Pleasant Hill Trail Map: Sycamore Trail
Seneca Trail Map: Cemetery Trail
Tappan Trail Map: Beach Trail
Find a canvas, and enter to win a prize! You are encouraged to try and find all five canvases at each of the MWCD parks, but have a maximum of three entries per person. (One entry per person, per park.) Three winners will be randomly selected by September 12, and contacted via phone or email. The first 200 entries will receive a custom MWCD walking stick medallion and all participants with three entries from different parks will receive a walking stick!
First Place: $200 gift card
Second Place: $100 gift card
Third Place: $50 gift card

To enter, visit a MWCD park location and search for the canvas on the trail. Once found, take a photo of the canvas to prove you found the canvas and complete the survey below.
