Pleasant Hill Apple Fest

Friday, September 20
6-8pm Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules and trail maps.
6-7:30pm Ladies’ Night Craft and Dessert – Grab a friend and head out to Pleasant Hill Lake Park for a fun girl’s night of craft and desserts. Make a wine glass and mug holder at the Welcome Center. $15 per person. Registration required at www.MWCD.org/tickets.
Saturday, September 21 Apple Festival
All Day Jellybean Count – Check out the jar of Jellybeans in the Welcome Center. Try to guess exactly how many jellybeans are in the jar. The closest answer wins the two pounds of candy. Winner will be announced at the evening’s band.
9-10am Camper Appreciation Pancake Breakfast – Enjoy pancakes and apple cider at the Welcome Center as the summer comes to an end! The suggested donation is $5 per person. While supplies last.
11am-12pm Apple Festival Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt – Search the park for hidden apples and be entered to win a basket full of apple goodies! $5 per hand at the Welcome Center, cash only.
12:30pm Homemade Apple Pie Competition Entry – Drop-off your homemade apple pie to the Welcome Center.
1-2pm Apple Pie Voting – Vote on the best-looking pie at the Welcome Center! Winners will be announced at the evening’s band.
12-2pm Apple Archery for Kids – Do you think you are as good as the Swiss archer William Tell? Test your bow and arrow skills at Picnic Shelter #2. Archery equipment and set up for youth. Drop by any time before 1:30 pm. All children need to be accompanied by an adult.
4-7pm APPLE FESTIVAL – Join the festivities at the top of beach hill!
- LIVE Music: Bluegrass Band – Relax and listen to some of the best Bluegrass musicians around. Enjoy a combination of Northwest Territory Bluegrass Band and the Allegheny Drifters. Bring a chair or blanket!
- Wildflowers and Welds Mobile Beverage Truck – Enjoy coffee, tea, lemonade, and refreshers at the top of beach hill!
- Apple Nachos – Make a sweet treat with apple slices and top with caramel, chocolate, sprinkles, and whipped cream, while supplies last. Look for the MWCD canopy at the top of beach hill!
- Games for All Ages – Play gaga ball, get your face painted, participate in an apple rolling contest, and jump around in the bounce house. Plus, stop by the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District’s table.
- Meet Johnny Appleseed from 6 to 7pm – Take a photo with Johnny and learn about his life. Don’t forget to wish him a Happy 250th birthday! Meet at the MWCD canopy.
