Atwood Hunter Education Course

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District staff will offer a FREE two-day, instructor-led course. Participants must attend both days in a relaxed classroom environment with hands-on learning. https://oh-web.s3licensing.com/Event/Index

Saturday, November 16: 9am-4pm
Sunday, November 17: 9am-4pm
There will be a lunch break however, you will need to pack a lunch as there are no restaurants nearby. Pre-registration is required at the link below. Search for Hunter Education > Classroom > Mineral City.
Certified volunteers and MWCD staff will teach the courses. Instructors will cover a range of topics from conservation, safety, and ethics to the proper handling of shotguns, handguns, bowhunting gear, and more. You should not bring firearms or archery equipment to class – all necessary equipment will be provided.
Once you’ve completed the coursework, you will be given a 100-question test which includes multiple-choice questions. A student must score 75% or higher on the test to pass and obtain certification. Hunter education is a requirement for all first-time license buyers in Ohio, except those who hunt with an apprentice license.
