Charles Mill Halloween Weekend

Friday, October 4            

5:30-6:30pm        Traveling Program Cart – Keep a look out for program staff traveling through the campsites passing out schedules and craft kits.

7:30-8:30pm        Family BINGO – Dress in your favorite costume and enter a prize drawing for kids and adults. Join in the fun at the Messerly Recreation Center! Plus, enjoy the haunted shelter!

8:45-9:15pm        Haunted Ghost Hunt – Bring a flashlight to search for your ghost outside the Messerly Recreation Center. For all ages!

Saturday, October 5               

10:30am-12pm     Holiday Crafts for Adults – Choose between making a scarecrow or Christmas ornament at the Messerly Recreation Center. All instruction and materials provided. $10 each, register online at www.MWCD.org/tickets

11am                 Pumpkin Painting Contest for Kids – Bring your painted pumpkin to the Messerly Recreation Center by 11am for judging. Place your name and campsite number with your pumpkins. Need a pumpkin?! Purchase your pumpkin at the Messerly Recreation Center on Friday night during programs or Saturday morning. Pumpkins will be $3-5, cash only. While supplies last.

1pm                   Broom Scarecrow Contest – Make a scarecrow out of a broom and display it on your campsite! Judging will take place at 1pm with top prize for Eagle Point and Main Camp. Look online for decorating ideas!

1-2pm                Bugman – Learn about creepy crawlies at the Messerly Recreation Center. Dress in your favorite costume to be entered for a prize drawing.

2:30-4pm            Trick-or-Treat – Travel through the campgrounds in your favorite costume collecting candy from participating campsites.

4:30-5:30pm          T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a special edition Halloween tie dyed t-shirt at the Messerly Recreation Center. T-shirt sizes are youth small to adult 3XL, first come first served. $10 each, cash only.

5:30-6:30pm          Halloween Golf Cart Parade and Contest – Decorate your golf cart and join the golf cart parade and contest! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center or Eagle Point Shelter.

7pm                   Wagon Rides – Meet at the park office to take a wagon ride through the campground to see the Halloween decorations!

7pm                   Campsite Decoration Judging – Make sure your decorations are in place for prizes!

7-8:30pm            Haunted Building – Tour the shelter area of the Messerly Recreation Building for spooky frights! Donations are welcome.
