Atwood Labor Day Weekend
August 30 - September 1
Friday, August 30
4-7pm Traveling Golf Cart – Look for our traveling program staff on a golf cart stopping at campsites with information about weekend programs.
7-8pm Karaoke & Cards – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter for music and board games. Get ready to sing your favorite tunes!
Saturday, August 31
9-10am Morning Guided Nature Hike – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter for a guided hike along the Eagle Trail! Be prepared by wearing hike boots or sneakers and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
11am-1pm Nature Center Open & Ladybug Craft for Kids – Explore the Nature Center and make a ladybug craft to celebrate the state insect of Ohio!
1:30-2pm Bike & Golf Cart Decorating – Stop by the Activity Center Shelter to decorate your golf cart or bike in a patriotic Memorial Day tribute before the parade.
2-3pm Bike & Golf Cart Parade – Feature your bike or golf cart that has been decorated for the holiday in the parade. Line up in the upper parking lot across from the Activity Center and take a trip around the campground. The parade will go through camp areas A-H.
4-5pm Nature Discovery – Learn about the animals that live at Atwood Lake. Meet at the Nature Center.
6-7:30pm Wiffle Ball – Bring your friends to the grassy area near the basketball court for friendly games of wiffle ball!
9-11pm Movie at the Lake – Watch this family-friendly movie on the BIG screen in the grassy area beside the Activity Center. Movie is rated PG. Bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on and extra layers for the chilly nights!
Sunday, September 1
9-10am Non-denominational Service & Kids J.A.M. – At the small amphitheater, weather permitting.
3-4pm T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center Shelter! T-shirts are $10 each, cash only. Sizes are first come, first served. While supplies last.
5-6pm Patriotic Craft for Adults – Create a patriotic decoration to display at your campsite or take it home! Meet at the Nature Center. For ages 16 and up.
7-9pm Spikeball, Cornhole, and Can Jam – Learn a new game or challenge someone to a showdown! Meet at the grassy area near the Activity Center Shelter.
7-10pm LIVE Music: Badstone – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the grassy area beside the Activity Center to enjoy classic rock covers! You don’t want to miss this band!
