Atwood Independence Day Schedule
July 3 - July 7
Wednesday, July 3
4-7pm Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for our staff traveling through the camp areas with program information!
9-11pm Movie at the Lake – Bring your camp chair or blanket to the grassy area near the Activity Center Shelter to watch this family-friendly movie on the BIG screen!
Thursday, July 4 Happy Independence Day!
11am-12pm Fireworks Craft for Kids – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter and dress for paint!
1-2am Burlap Banner Craft for Adults – Make a patriotic banner at the Activity Center Shelter. For ages 16+.
3-4pm Sandcastle Building Contest – Meet at the beach to make art in the sand! Bring your own tools or borrow ours.
6-7:30pm Karaoke and Cards – Enjoy music and card games at the Activity Center Shelter. Bring a friend!
8-9pm BINGO – Bring a small $2 prize to the Activity Center Shelter and try your luck!
9:30pm Glowsticks and Fireflies – Experience bioluminescence at the Activity Center Shelter. We will be handing out glowsticks (while supplies last) and attempting to catch and release fireflies!
Friday, July 5
10-11am Kids BINGO – Bring a full size candy bar to the Activity Center Shelter and try your luck!
12-1pm Bead Crafts for All Ages – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter to make a keychain or bracelet!
1:30-2pm Bike and Golf Cart Decorating – Stop by the picnic shelter behind the Activity Center to decorate your golf cart or bike in a patriotic Memorial Day tribute before the parade.
2-3pm Bike & Golf Cart Parade – Feature your bike or golf cart that has been decorated for the holiday in the parade. Line up in the Activity Center parking lot and take a trip around the campground. The parade will go through camp areas A-H.
4-5pm T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase, cash only. T-shirts are $10 each, first come first served. Meet at the Activity Center Shelter.
6pm Yard Game Mania – Learn a new game or challenge someone to a showdown! Meet at the grassy are near the Activity Center.
7-10pm LIVE Music: Breezy Rider Band – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the grassy area beside the Activity Center! You may watch from your golf cart in the parking lot or behind the basketball courts.
Saturday, July 6
10-11am Traveling Craft for Kids – Watch for the traveling golf cart handing out craft kits.
12-1pm Plant Pot Craft for Adults – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter to make a cute planter.
2-4pm Bubble Fun at the Beach – Cool off with water game at the beach. Bring your friends!
5-6pm Kickball Challenge – Meet in the field near the Activity Center to play a friendly game of kickball!
7-10pm DJ Donna – Listen to music at the beach while you relax before the fireworks.
Dusk FIREWORKS Over the Lake – Watch the fireworks display over the lake from land or water!
Sunday, July 7
9-10am Non-denominational Church Service – Meet at the small amphitheater, weather permitting.
