5-8pm Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for our program staff traveling through the camp areas to share nature facts!
Saturday, June 1 National Trails Day
All Day Capture the Canvas – Explore the trails, find a canvas, and enter to win a prize! Three winners will be randomly selected by September 12, plus the first 200 entries will receive a custom MWCD walking stick medallion and all participants with three entries from different parks will receive a walking stick! 10am-2pm Atwood Dam Tours – Join the US Army Corps of Engineers for a tour of Atwood Dam! Learn about the history, plus dam safety as a part of Dam Safety Awareness Day. Tours take approximately 20 minutes, stop by anytime between 10am and 2pm.
10-10:30am Healthy Lifestyles – Join the Carroll County Health Department at the Welcome Center to learn about the common diagnosis of High Blood Pressure that affects men and women. Receive a free digital bp cuff and learn the important facts of this very common disease.
10:45-11:15am Managing Mental Health – The Carroll County Health Department will share information on anxiety and depression, plus provide tools and resources that can help everyone manage mental health.
2-3pm Basketball Challenge – Meet at the basketball court to play knockout and other games for fun! Half of the court will be closed during this event. For ages 8 and up.
4-5pm All About Turtles – Explore the wonderful world of turtles and tortoises at the Activity Center Shelter!
6-7pm Memory Book Craft for All Ages – Make a memory book to record your stories from the lake. Meet at the Activity Center Shelter.
Sunday, June 2
9-10am Non-denominational Church Service – Meet at the small amphitheater, weather permitting.
