Atwood Bike Bonanza
May 4
9-10am Morning Nature Hike – Discover the Eagle Trail and the Cemetery Bay Trail! Meet at the Activity Center Shelter. Be prepared for a 2-mile walk with sneakers or hiking boots.
11am-12pm Fox Craft for Kids – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter to make a fox craft and learn about these fabulous creatures!
1-2pm Helmet Giveaway & Bike Parade – Ages 5-13 are invited to learn about bike safety and receive a free bike helmet! We will go over the basics of bike safety and then participate in a bike parade. Meet at the Basketball Court. Helmets are provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Put a Lid On It program.
3-4pm Who Lives in a Tree? – Learn about the critters that call trees their home. Meet at the Activity Center Shelter to learn about the various animals that live in and use trees for various resources. Then explore the park to search for evidence of these animals.
5-6:30pm Ladies’ Night Craft & Desserts – Grab a friend and head out to Atwood Lake Park for a fun girl’s night! Create a teacup fairy garden. All materials and instructions will be provided, plus snacks! Must be 16 or older. Registration required at https://mwcd.ticketleap.com
