Pick up a list of self-directed activities available to help you explore the park on your own during your visit. Our Park and Naturalist staff are available to assist with any self-directed activities, maps, questions, or programs you may have.

Friday, August 19th
6p-8p – Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Bigfoot Display area and relax on the deck.
Step back into the old Wild West-themed programs.
Saturday, August 19th
9a-11a- Naturalist On-Duty Nature Room OPEN. Come see & help feed the LIVE animals. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window & view a short orientation during your visit. Check out the NEW Osprey Display area.

10a-1p -Gold Panning- Try your skill and luck at panning for some real gold. Meet on Welcome Center Deck.
11p-1p- Family Crafts- Western-themed family crafts for everyone. Meet in Welcome Center
1p-4p – Petting Farm & Pony Rides. Live animals and pony rides for the kids. Horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and more. Meet at the Parking lot area by Welcome Center.
2p-4p – Grab that Axe- Axe throwing for adults Try your skill at axe throwing
- 4p-6p – Hayrides- Tour through the park area on tractor-pulled haywagon ride Tickets are FREE at welcome center
Gate admission is $10/car all-day pass.
