June 22 – 25 Program Schedule at Tappan

Thursday, June 22

10-11:30am – Tots in the Park – Learn about mammals and the furry friends who live at the lake. Take a hike and make a rabbit craft together! This program is for ages 3-6 with an adult partner. Program is free, gate fee applies.

Friday, June 23

5-8pm – Traveling Nature Program – Watch for the program golf cart with a craft kit and program schedules.

9-10pm – Guided Night Hike – Meet near the boat ramp in Area 1 to hike the Deer Trail at night! Be prepared for a natural surface trail by wearing hiking shoes/boots or sneakers. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. 

Saturday, June 24

10-11am – All About Pollinators! – Learn about the importance of pollinators and learn about how butterflies begin their lives – as caterpillars!! Meet at the Nature Center.

11am-12pm – Pollinator Nest Box Craft for All Ages – Visit the Nature Center and make a mason bee box to provide a nesting location for these native bees.

1-2:30pm – Gaga Ball – Meet near the playground at Area 1 shower house to play this fun new game!

3-4pm – Watercolor Craft for Kids – Stop by the Nature Center to create your watercolor masterpiece!

5-6pm – Kids BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a full-size candy bar.

6-7pm – Adult BINGO – Try your luck at BINGO at the Activity Center. Bring a $2 gift.

7:30-9pm – Teen Challenge – Stop by the Nature Center to play video games or take the challenge!

Sunday, June 25

9-11pm – Nature Center Open & Breakfast with the Birds – Visit the Nature Center and watch the birds at the birdfeeders. Enjoy breakfast treats, coffee, and learn about Ohio’s birds!

1pm – Tappan Recycling – Have your aluminum cans by lot post by 1pm! All recycling benefits programs.
