Ohio Boater Education Course at Atwood Lake Park – FULL

If you were born on or after January 1, 1982 Ohio law requires that you complete an approved boating education course to operate any powered watercraft greater than 10 horsepower. You can meet Ohio’s Boater Education requirement by attending this approved boating education course and passing a proficiency exam. 

Topics include know your boat, operating safely, legal requirements and boating emergencies. The course will be taught by OBEC certified MWCD Rangers, and includes a minimum of eight hours of teaching and a written exam. Students must attend the entire course and pass a proficiency exam. Everyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is full.
