Seneca Lake
Seneca Lake, located in southeastern Ohio, is the state’s largest inland lake, with 3,550 acres of water, 4,060 acres of land, and a max depth of 31 feet. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, and wildlife watching. Seneca Lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and serene woodlands. The lake is ideal for anglers, with species like bass, crappie, and catfish in abundance.
Seneca Lake also features well-maintained campgrounds, cozy cabins, picnic areas, and miles of trails, making it a great spot for family vacations and weekend getaways. Visitors can enjoy a full-service marina, with boat rentals, docking, and the Dockside Restaurant. The park provides a variety of recreational facilities, including playgrounds, volleyball courts, pickleball ball courts, storybook trail, splash pad, and sandy beach with concession stand.

Seneca Lake Park is located in Guernsey and Noble counties, near Cambridge, Ohio accessible by I-70 and I-77.
Seneca Dam was constructed in 1937 on the Seneca Fork of Wills Creek for the purpose of flood control. The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) owns the lake and surrounding land, and is responsible for managing conservation and recreational activities. The dam is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Boat Launch Ramp | The public launch ramp is located near the roadside park off State Route 574, and another is located near the marina.

Camping | 576 campsites total in two campground locations. Marina Point campground has 320 sites (20 full hookups), while the park campground has 256 (106 full hookups). Seasonal camping is available at a discounted rate.

Hunting | Permitted in all non restricted areas, and regulated by the ODNR Division of Wildlife.

Hiking | Trails in the park total nine miles; the Buckeye Trail borders the park.
Camps | The Baptist Church Camp is located near park entrance.

Seneca Lake Park provides an assortment of camping options ranging from waterfront with panoramic views of the lake to primitive campsites nestled in the woods. Whether you prefer the most up to date accommodations including access to full hook-up (water, sewer and electric) or a more rustic atmosphere, there are more than 500 campsites available for RVs and tents to camp for a night or longer (discounted 30-day camping rates are also available). Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring.Seasonal Camping
Enjoy the beautiful park setting all summer with seasonal camping. Whether you choose to stay in the campground all season or prefer the convenience of a campsite ready for your enjoyment, seasonal camping offers a discount from the daily camping rate. A seasonal camping permit is available for a seven (7) month period, April 1 – October 31. A limited number of campsites are designated for seasonal camping. Senior Citizen: 10% discount the daily camping rate year round. Must be 60 years of age to qualify with valid ID.

Active Duty Military: 25% discount off daily camping and daily cabin rate, based on availability year round. Official document from the Department of Defense (DOD) required. Free park admission.
Former Prisoners of War and 100% Disabled American Veterans: 50% discount off of the daily and 30-day camping rate year round. 25% discount off daily camping and daily cabin rate, based on availability, year round. Lifetime free park admission. Verification from the Veterans Administration required.
Seasonal Camping: Permits to camp April 1 – October 31 at a discounted rate from daily camping.
Off-Season Camping: Discounted camping rates are available November 1 – March 31.
